Since 2013 our school has received £8647 for Sports Premium each academic year. This is what the money has been spent on:

01/09/2016 Freestule Soccer Academy  Sports coach x 2 a week plus 4 x lunchtimes to take PE lessons and to provide controlled activites at lunchtimes across FS and KS 1 (from 12/09/2016 - 31/03/2017) Significant reduction in the number of accidents/first aid incidents during the lunchbreaks due to the controlled activites. Confidence has grown in staff as a result of observing the sports coaches teaching the various elements of the new curriculum in KS1 and across FS. The monitoring of children's progress during a unit of work has been more effective as a result of observing lessons rather than directly teaching the children.

 18/04/2016 Life Education Bus  Healthy Bodies roadshow for R, 1 and 2 and parents  All of the children across our school were able to have age appropriate information on how to keep healthy and safe and the importance of exercise.    
18/06/2015 ESPO PE Equipment storage to ensure equipment is kept safe and secure and in good condition Storage allows for better organised equipment providing easier access to staff and children. Equipment is maintained more effectively and is therefore readily available at all times.

05/05/2015 Life Education Bus Healthy Living roadshow for R, 1 and 2 and parents The Life Education Bus visited our school to talk to each class about healthy bodies and healthy living. Each class took part in active learning by singing, taking a look at what happens inside our bodies when we take part in physical activities and how eating and drinking healthily is good for our bodies and brains.  
24/04/2015 The Saints rugby team Northamptonshire Saints Rugby player or coach to come in and work with the children A Northamptonshire Saints Rugby coach attended our school and led an assembly about healthy eating, the importance of being fit and the impact of daily training sessions. Each class took part in tag rugby and enjoyed the physical activities on the playground.  
11/03/2015 Northamptonshire Sport PE conference for 3 x members of staff One member from each team has attended this years PE conference. This conference was about the latest developments in Physical Education and about teaching and promoting a more active and healthy lifestyle to young children. This will provide staff with the tools to teach at an appropriate level regarding healthy eating and physical activities in each year group.   
19/01/2015 Northamptonshire Sport Real PE for KS1 and EYFS 3 day course SM, KD and KS One team member of each year group has attended Real PE training. The outcomes of this course has been fed back during PPA for staff to further develop their skills and knowledge in ability, balance and co-ordination when teaching PE. SM has also discussed this during a staff meeting.  
06/11/2014 ESPO Resources for playground challenges Lunch time staff have been trained to support children in the three fundamentals of PE. There are less accidents occuring during lunch time play as it is more structured.  
20/11/2014 Lawmans Coaches Coach travel to take children to Sports Festival at Wrenn School The opportunity to meet with other schools to compete and to use different facilities provided at much larger schools or secondary schools.  
01/10/2014 Manor School Cluster School Sports Festivals x 3 Year 2 children are given the opportunity to be involved in competition with children from other schools. An opportunity to share and compete in various skills in PE.  
01/10/2014 Manor School SSCO support for the academic year 2014-15 New PE initiatives shared with the PE co-ordinator. This information is then filtered down to staff.  
01/09/2014 Kettering Tennis Coaching Tennis coaching - before school club for Year 2 (approx cost £25 per week) Gifted and talented children identified by the tennsi coach.  
13/06/2014 Rutherfords Sports day & House point trophies plus engraving and ribbons Promotion of competition in school. Celebration of the success of each teams achievements.  
06/06/2014 Rock It Promotions PE t shirts in house colours - staff Promotion of house teams. Celebration of teams who are leading on the school board. Competition between staff also.

06/05/2014 Kettering Tennis Coaching Tennis coaching - before school club for Year 2 Several of our children have had the opportunity to go to this club and experiencing a sport that they may not necessarily have had a chance to experience.  
20/03/2014 Wrenn School PE coaching for all teaching staff in R, 1 and 2 Teacher's have indicated that they would like more of this training in blocks of support. Staff have taken on board the expectations of teaching PE and the pace. These are aspects that have been improved.   
18/03/2014 Rock It Promotions PE t shirt in house colours - one for every child Children were actively engaged in the competative side of the sports day because they were grouped into houses. Impact on PE lessons and groups has been significant in that children work in their house teams.  
26/02/2014 Quantum Theatre  Healthy Eating and Lifestyle show for Years R, 1 and 2 Children are more aware of healthy eating and can name healthy foods. At lunchtime, pupils are able to point out which foods are the healthy ones in their plate.
